Trailblazing strategic, creative and digital agency that simply produces good work.
With over 62 years combined experience in the advertising, public relations and digital marketing space, The Edge Ideas, co-founded by Amy Jones, Seth Winterer, and John Zimmerman, has launched with one goal in mind – to create a trailblazing strategic, creative and digital agency that simply produces good work.
Jones, who is a Lafayette native, began her career as on-air TV personality before moving to the PR and advertising world in 2001. She has worked with brands, such as the Green Bay Packers, the NBA Retired Player’s Association, Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel, The University of Louisiana – Lafayette, the American Heart Association, Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey, several members of the U.S. Congress, state and local elected officials. Prior to launching The Edge Ideas, she started Jones Communications, a successful advertising and PR firm, based in Lafayette, LA.
“We decided to launch The Edge Ideas because we believe the market truly needs a fully integrated agency that builds creative solutions supported by highly measurable metrics,” said Amy Jones, Chief Communications Officer. “Clients are ready to move their businesses into the digital economy and build experiences for their brands. We focus on finding what are truly disruptive and digitally-lead marketing ideas and then effectively execute them.”
Joining Jones at the helm of the company is John Zimmerman, who serves as the company’s Chief Brand and Strategy Officer. Zimmerman created and built 02 Ideas in Birmingham, AL, before selling the $350 million dollar company in 2008 to move to New Orleans. Zimmerman has served as a brand strategist for some of the world’s biggest brands, including Honda, The Home Depot, Verizon Wireless and Borders and Relief International, one of the world’s leading NGO’s. He was also the branding force behind the public launch of Zoe’s Kitchen.
“The nature of brands that last is changing rapidly. Consumers want to trust who they are working with. We understand that to position any company for growth means building real conversations they have with their audiences. We founded this company to be an interactions agency fueled by good, creative work,” said Zimmerman. “We are on a mission to be a better kind of company for our client partners and the response we have received since opening our doors proves businesses are ready to work with an agency that provides the solutions we are delivering.” Seth Winterer, Chief Digital Strategy Officer, rounds out the founding trio and is considered one of the country’s leading digital advertising experts. As one of the original members of ReachLocal (NASDAQ:RLOC), helping the company’s IPO in 2010 and its growth to over 2,500 employees. Winterer has managed over $400 Million in digital advertising in his career and worked with notable names such as Group 1 Automotive, Mazda, Chrysler, Bridgestone, AAMCO, TravelCLICK, and Maids International. Winterer’s deep digital background drives all online advertising and digital strategy for clients.
“I’m a car guy at heart, so the work we get to do with dealerships is a true passion for me. I look forward to working with auto retailers in every market in Louisiana and throughout the Southern Region. Every industry is being pushed to fully embrace digital, but very few Southern agencies actually understand it,” added Winterer. “We have witnessed so much waste and mismanagement and hear the bad experiences clients have had to go through with. Because we really understand how to maximize digital dollars, we get an ROI very quickly and already have proven track with clients here in Louisiana and throughout the United States.”
The Edge Ideas, which has already been named an official Google Partner, brings a data-driven approach and advanced analytics to every client, regardless of size.
